Scope of work involved in refurbishing sash windows and how much it cost:
- Remove rotten bits of wood.
- Sand down woodwork
- Treat affected areas with wood hardener.
- Repair woodwork with Accoya/Tricoya wood and flexible wood filler
- Repair loose putty with flexible resinous fillers
- Prepare woodwork for painting
- Spray paint all woodwork
- Unblock windows

- Draught-proofing: £260–£360 per window – includes new staff bead and parting bead with pre-installed brush pile, primed and installed.

After rot repairs, to avoid cracks at the joints and improve the durability of our refurbishment, we also laminate the entire length of the frame with a rot-proof 4mm sheet of wood veneer. These are custom-made to fit the existing frame perfectly, so you won’t notice them—just like the logic behind tooth ceramic veneers.
