Customer journey
Taking the journey to a complete window restoration or double glazing retrofit can be an exciting and rewarding experience.
On this page, we will walk you through all stages of the window restoration and double glazing retrofit journey.
From initial research to completing the work and enjoying improved comfort and quality of living.
At the research stage, it is essential to consider all the options available, set your goals, and think about long-term value over short-term savings.
Here is the list of articles that might be helpful during your research stage:
!Please Note:
Our minimum service order quantity is 10 windows for restoration or painting, a bay window is counted as 3 windows.
Our service area locations
We are based in East Anglia, but we also work in other regions.
All locationsOur window expert will come at the agreed time and day, ask you a few questions, and assess the condition of your window’s timber frames.
Within 5 days of the above meeting, you will receive a detailed written quotation from us.
The quote will include information such as the scope of work, timeframe, cost, what’s included, and available additional services.
If your quote meeting is during the late autumn or winter months, we can take thermal photos of your windows to survey the current level of heat loss.
Made to measure double-glazing units
We will take measurements of your windows and place the order for glass.
Production lead time
The double glazing production and delivery lead time are around six weeks.
Delivery & Storage
The glass is delivered straight to your property or our storage facility on a pallet.
Broken glass
A few double-glazing units may be broken, as the only company that manufactures VIG glass is located in Belgium.
Don’t worry – if this happens, we will inspect the pallet immediately after delivery and promptly reorder the glass that didn’t make it.
The replacement units will be produced and delivered at no extra cost to you.
Portable toilet cabin
If the client does not have an outbuilding with a toilet that our staff can use, we will order a portable toilet cabin (at no additional cost) to be delivered on the same day that we begin the project.
Working days and hours
If your project is located in an area where work is only permitted during weekdays and certain hours, we will abide by those regulations.
Otherwise, if you wish, we can work during the weekends as our work is weather dependent and we are aiming to make the most of every sunny day of the year.
Project duration and deadlines
We rarely extend beyond the quoted timeline for projects. Our business is not dependent on part-time labourers, and all of our staff are highly trained.
When we start a project, we make sure that we have all the necessary resources available to finish it on time and to our exact standards.
On-site restoration and reglazing
When we conduct repair and restoration work, we do so on-site with a mobile gazebo brought in by our team.
When we remove sashes for our double glazing retrofit service, we reglaze them on-site and make sure they are fitted back into the frame before the day is over.
We have ongoing quality checks throughout the work process but also complete one final check across all work areas at the end of the job.
After the project is completed, our guarantee kicks in, so you don’t have to worry about anything.
Congratulations! You have just completed a major renovation project on your beloved home.
Now, you can enjoy the results of your hard work as you look out through your refurbished and upgraded windows.
